Digital Union - Business Development
Digital Union were looking for a Sales and Marketing Director that could not only offer them experience of recruiting and managing a sales team, but also plan and drive marketing programmes to generate leads. Virtual Sales Ltd were retained initially on a one-month contract to help them shape their sales team with various activities.

Liased with Professional Services Director to ensure that services based revenue is planned and schedules according to information.
Worked with key members from IBM and Lotus to help raise Digital Union's awareness within those Companies and to solicit resources and funds to help drive IBM software revenues.
Results - VSL Delivers
We have enjoyed continuous success during the past 18 months at Digital Union and have been instrumental in running over 10 marketing programmes in partnership with IBM and other partners such as Cable and Wireless. This has populated the CRM programme with qualified opportunities for the sales team to follow up and close.
Our comprehensive network of agencies have enabled us to run a number of successful telemarketing programmes with suitable calls to action such as web seminars and free "one on one" evaluation workshops. We have also attended various shows and exhibitions to generate leads for the sales team.
The Company achieved 150% of its software target with IBM and is now uniquely positioned as one of their major Business partners in the Websphere and Domino environments. We have also just completed a complete overhaul of their marcom materials.
Digital Union have now retained our services on a 1-year rolling contract to work on a 2 day a week basis.
