Scalado - Channel Sales
Virtual Sales Ltd were appointed to spearhead the product launch of ImageZoom into the UK and also to advise on sales channels on a worldwide basis.
VSL were also retained to set up and manage a PR agency to help create demand and also appoint a channel to sell and support the growing portfolio of products.
Action - VSL's Activities
Using our network of existing agencies we appointed a Guildford, Surrey based PR agency because of their skill set operating in the IT arena. The Company were well versed in helping software companies like Scalado in getting started in the UK.
We arranged a Press Event to launch Scalado in the UK at the Ivy in London in October and had over 20 key journalists at the event.
VSL had also been briefed to research and implement a partner to build and manage a web store.
We researched the UK marketplace and selected a vendor that was capable of not only building the Scalado web store but could also maintain and offer marketing services around the store through a network of virtual reseller stores such www.dabs.com.
Results - VSL Delivers
Since launching ImageZoom 2.0 we have enjoyed significant coverage for Scalado through cover-mount Cd offerings plus reviews such as Internet Magazine (March 2003) which gave ImageZoom their Best Buy Award.
ImageZoom is now listed on over 30 reseller web sites thus achieving significant coverage in a relatively small amount of time.
A number of email and telemarketing campaigns have targeted Companies and individuals who have chosen to register their copies from the cover-mounts with an upgrade campaign fulfilled through the web store.
We have also concluded our search for a distribution partner who can build on the success of the PR and excite the channel into selling ImageZoom.
